Bring a Pair of New Shoes for the Needy to the Long Beach Show

FOM Volunteer Fitting shoesFor the second year in a row, The Fishers of Men West Coast announces a collaboration with the Fred Hall Show, Van Wormer Resorts, AFTCO and Angler Chronicles to help the needy in the annual, Shoe Collection Drive.

Fishers of Men West Coast serves the poor in the communities of Baja California by providing a quality pair of new shoes in their annual Casting4Souls distribution.  For 15 years FOM has done this in the fishing community of Los Barriles and La Mission serving over 5000 people annually.  For many people this will be the only pair of new shoes they will own for that year and empowers them to maintain or perhaps start the path to a better life to seek or get to work, school or other self-sustaining and productive activities.  They often live in extremely remote and environmentally challenging locations.

At the 2020 Fred Hall Show in Long Beach along with Van Wormer Resorts, AFTCO and Angler Chronicles FOMWC will give attendees the FOMWC Kid Recipientopportunity to Help the Needy in the second annual, free Shoe Collection Drive. There will be a Collection Station at an AFTCO Truck next to the main entrance to the Fred Hall show.

For each person bringing a pair of new or “lightly used” shoes to the collection point at the entrance to the show, the donor will be rewarded with a FREE Raffle ticket to win a Fishing Syndicate Rod.  The drawing will occur in the Angler Chronicles booth on Sunday.  You do not need to be present to win.

Come enjoy the show, bring a pair of new or lightly used shoes in any size, color, or style and receive the joy of knowing you FOM WC Little Girlare making a difference in the life of someone and have a chance to win a free rod.
